Bringing innovation and technology to the Automotive Sound market, PRV Audio launches the DSP2.8X Digital Signal Processor, capable of making various Real-time signal adjustments, from crossover filters, graphic and parametric equalization, alignment, phase inversion, limiter, audio generator, among others. Enhancing Your Audio System!
Through an LCD display and intuitive interface, it allows real-time audio adjustments. The DSP 2.8X features 2 audio inputs (A and B) and 8 independent outputs and allows you to choose the audio source (A, B or A + B) for each output. It has an integrated equalization system, with 15-band graphic equalizer, manual tuning, or through 12 presets (Flat, Loudness, Bass Boost, Mid Bass, Treble Boost, Powerful, Electronic, Rock, Hip Hop, Pop, Vocal and Pancadão).
For professional equalization adjustments, it has 1 INPUT Parametric Equalizer and 1 OUTPUT Parametric Equalizer with gain control, specific frequency setting, and equalizer bandwidth, allowing fine adjustments and detailed equalization control.
The Crossover function allows you to precisely define the cut frequencies, attenuation rates, and topology of the LowPass and HighPass filters with Butterworth and Linkwitz-Riley filters (12/18/24/36/48 dB / 8ª).
To aid in the protection of amplifiers and loudspeakers, the DSP 2.8X features a Limiter with Dynamic Attack-Release system that dynamically controls the Attack and Release parameters in real-time, providing security and sound fidelity.
In the audio treatment, it also has Alignment capabilities through High Accuracy Delay, Phase Inversion, Independent Gain by Output and Master Level. For accurate measurements and adjustments, the DSP 2.8X features an integrated Audio Generator with tone generation and frequency sweep, and Pink Noise. Configuration Copy functions between output channels.
It also has the functions of Management, Save and Load Settings in memory, Security Password that blocks the editing of the parameters, Marquee / Text Display, and Language Selection.
Sequencer Feature
Allows sequential triggering of other products through the remote trigger connection (REM). Use a cable of at least 20 AWG. The sequencer has three outputs (S1, S2, and S3) which are sequentially activated and deactivated according to the input signal from the remote input (REM IN).
The triggering interval between each output can be set from 0s to 4s. When the set time is 0s, all three outputs will be enabled and disabled at the same time after 3s of the input remote (REM IN) signal change.

Ok, so I’ve used audio control for decades…no more! Prv dominates the processor game hands down! For the price you can’t beat it, it’s the easiest, most accurate piece I’ve used. It also cleaned up my mess of rca’s in a compact, mount anywhere package. Sorry audio control, Prv is the next generation for audio!!
Of course the gains and crossover settings are pretty straightforward but I would like to see another video on PRV’s YouTube channel about the more advanced settings. The limiter, parametric EQ, EQ, etc. other than that I like how I don’t have to use all those rcas to run my system.
This DSP is very basic, intuitive and user friendly. The Settup and tuning of this DSP can be done in 30 mins maybe even less depending on how complex your routing and Settup is. I do have something strange going on with my routing where one of my channels doesn’t wana go into stereo routing and keeps running mono. I’m not sure why but could be something I’m doing wrong but I have spent many hrs using this DSP and I know I set it up correctly for stereo playback. I still have not used it in my vehicle just in my basement on a smaller system in my basement hooked up to amps that I do driver testing on. Not only does it have all the tuning features you need to make your settup sound and play to its full potential but it has backup memory to keep all your settings saved in case your battery died or the DSP was unhooked. I was disappointed in one feature it’s seems to need a protection feature to prevent turn-on pop when connecting the DSP to power for the first time. This DSP for the money seems to be of great value abd reliability and I don’t have to worry about running a $2.5k DSP I need apps a laptop or remote to tune it and set it up and that doesn’t have a remote output turn on delay to control your other amplifiers. It’s so expensive it needs to be included in my home policy and having to replace that would be very unfortunate. Just buy this thing you will be pleased I’m an SQL guy and haven’t even hooked this thing up with my radio to be able to use my eq so I can only imagine. Just buy this DSP
This product is a great way to accurately dial in your tunes...i was vaguely familiar with where each size speaker hz should be..even with that being said, i was able to navigate through the menu.
