PRV Audio’s 8MB700FT-NDY-4 Forte Series was specially tailored to give you more power handling and less distortion. The larger voice coil ensures high heat dissipation and the necessary Bl to deliver high sensitivity even on high power with the minimum distortion.
The lower Qts allows for more precise mid-bass. Superior fidelity is achieved through a perfect combination of a non-pressed cone with a smooth frequency response and a surrounding ring specially designed to allow high displacement without increasing the distortion.
- Nominal Impedance: 4 Ohms
- Rated AES Power Handling (RMS): 350 Watts
- Program Power: 700 Watts
- Sensitivity (1W/1m): 98 dB
- Voice Coil Diameter: 2.5″ (51 mm)
To get superior fidelity, the special composite cone is built with non-pressed paper for a reduced break-up, delivering a smooth frequency response and a low moving mass, increasing the efficiency of the speaker.
The 8MB700FT-NDY-4 is an extremely efficient 8″ mid-bass from PRV Audio. This driver is perfect for mating to compression drivers due to its wide frequency bandwidth and its high 98 dB sensitivity rating, on a 3-way system (with a suggested 95 Hz, 12 dB/octave high pass filter in place)!
Its powerful optimized neodymium motor is vented to provide excellent cooling.
The large 2.5″ voice coil allows for the high 350-watts power handling and warrants the outstanding cooling system implemented into the motor.
The high sensitivity rating of 98 dB 1W/1M makes it capable of generating a lot of output!

Q Will the TW500My-Nd pair well with these speakers?Asked by October 17, 2020 10:25 pmonA
The TW500My-Nd is a good pair for the 8MB700FT-NDY.
Q Will the TPT1400.1 1ohm power 4 8MB700FT-NDY-4?Asked by June 19, 2020 1:21 pmonA
This speaker can handle from 350w - 700w each.
Q Is the 8MB700FT-NDY-4 speaker 2Ω stable with 250w RMS power? Or...can it handle 500w RMS at 4Ω? My amp offers - RMS Power 2Ω 250 x 4 and RMS Power 4Ω Bridged 500 x 2.Asked by April 9, 2020 10:56 amonA
These speakers are 4 ohms each. The amp is what needs to be stable at a particular ohm load to handle the ohm load of the speakers, not the other way around. If you use only 1 of these speakers it will be 4 ohms at the amplifier. If you use 2 of these speakers wired in parallel it will be 2 ohms at the amplifier. With that being said you will need about 700w each for these speakers. The amplifier you have will provide 500w to each speaker. If you use 2 8MB700FT-NDY-4 you can put one speaker on each side of the amp bridged to show the amplifier the 4 ohm load it needs to provide that 500w.
Q which PRV AMP would you recommend for 2 8MB700FT-NYD-4Asked by April 8, 2020 8:45 pmonA
For 2 8MB700FT-NDY-4 you can use the PRV A1MH NANO 2 OHM amplifier.
Q Will a set of these work well with a 800.4 2 ohm amplifier?Asked by March 14, 2020 10:28 pmonA
Most likely it will not be the power they need. If you are going to be running 2 of them, in parallel and bridge one side of the amplifier you are only going to be giving them 200w each. Give it a try as it may work well for you. Then if you need more power you can always upgrade the amplifier.
The speakers were not as loud as I thought they would be in the Lids on my RoadGlide.
Let see how well they hold up?
Great speakers. I brought 4 more since than. I love the quality of them.
WOW. Turn it on and its super loud and clear. I have also the 4 of the 6.5 speakers as well. What an upgrade on my motorcycle.
These speakers are AMAZING!!!! I have purchased three sets of speakers from PRV. I'm really impressed with the quality and sound. I have the 6.5, 8 Carbon Fiber also. I'm so glad I didn't follow the crowd and went with the other brand. PRV AUDIO ALL THE WAY!!!
