The D4500Ph uses the latest Brazilian Phenolic technology TRIO by PRV designed for vocal reproduction. This 2” Exit phenolic compression driver features a 4″ voice coil and new and improved motor that is all about high output and low distortion vocal reproduction all the way down to 500 Hz!
108 dB efficient driver is perfect for the highest output audio systems
Large 4″ voice coil can handle up to 500 watts max musical power
Phenolic diaphragm delivers natural response throughout the vocal range
Type Bolt-On – Nominal Impedance: 8 Ohms
A Neodymium version is available, D4500Ph-Nd, which reduces the overall size and weight
The nearly indestructible Phenolic Diaphragm structure, designed for vocal reproduction, allows low midrange reproduction from 450 to 6000 Hz. This driver is recommended for midrange support in multi-way PA’s, stage monitors, side fills and high SPL car audio systems. The phenolic diaphragm is attached to a 4″ diameter copper-clad aluminum wire with Kapton® former for a high 500 Watts RMS musical power handling, when used with recommended HPF using PRV Digital Signal Processor DSP
600 Hz at 12 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT12
550 Hz at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18
Its incredible output capabilities make this midrange driver one of most popular vocal driver on the market!
An injected and machined, high-precision aluminum phase plug provides better voice coil heat dissipation and high output levels.Designed to be the smallest possible without sacrificing any performance in the motor for its 4″ voice coil, we have used a 7.48″ diameter ferrite motor, to keep the smallest size and weight on its category. Car audio SPL enthusiasts use this driver for vocal reinforcement on 3 way systems.

*Nominal power handling is defined as the maximum RMS power that the speaker can handle in a 2-hour test with a pink noise with 6dB of crest factor and a bandpass filter with 12db/oct tuned in its usable frequency range.
**Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to provide a clean signal without clipping or saturation. ***Max Peak Power is the maximum power operation for the speaker, this power is allowed just for a few fractions of a second, usually found just on the peaks of the music. Keeping this power for a little longer timer will damage the speaker.
