The one-piece titanium diaphragm reduces the amount of moving mass, which enhances the driver’s ability to produce clear and crisp high frequencies. Its injected-molded phase plug eliminates undesirable phase cancellations.

I’ve been using this driver for some years now. I have them on my passive system as well as using them as replacement driver for my powered EV system. I am very satisfied with the quality of the driver. I’ve use them to replace my Alto SX215 & EV EKX15P (with some modifications) horn drivers.
This is my second D280Ti-B i bought, the 1st one i already did a review was for a Yamaha DSR112 , i love this ones so much that i get a second one so to have a matched pair of DSR 112’s, one of my original drivers failed and they are no longer made, if you want a great sounding, power capable 1″ exit HF driver , look no more !! , no not hesitate and add this to your cart, this is the Bolt model so works on 3 bolts or 2 bolts HF lenses ( DSR 112 use 2 bolt HFLens ), the screw in model goes for the screw in HF type of lens, but this version bolt on also have a screw in adapter so you get the best of both worlds!! do not think and get this ASAP !!! PRV ROCKS!!! PERIOD!!

this is not the screw on version, this is the Bolt On version, so make sure you order the right one, Yamaha DSR112 use 2 bolt HF lens so this fit perfect
So, one of my DSR 112’s blown the HF driver, eminence made those for Yamaha but they stop making them and nobody seem to have them anymore, i looked everywhere and was not able to found one, the original is rated at 50W this one is rated at 80W so in theory no more blown drivers despite the DSR 112 have DSP limiting and compression in the built in plate amp .
Sound Quality :
if you ever heard the DSR series, they have a trebly sound to them that i did not like vey much, i always did a -3dB high shelf cut on them , but this driver do not exhibit that trebly “sound flavor” so in order to have a matched pair i am ordering another PRV D280Ti-B.
As a side note , this driver have spring push on terminal, the Yamaha used spades so i cut those and strip half an inch on the HF wire.
I highly recommend this driver if you are making a 2 way Point Source speaker system for small gigs ( 20 – 200 people ) or replacing a blown driver on your 1″ exit HF lens.
