The WG2000Py SLIM is a Shallow mount 2″ horn driver featuring a Polyimide Pro Audio Compression Driver with a 2” exit WGP14-50X Slim Waveguide.
This is a top-of-the-line horn driver designed to offer unsurpassed natural upper midrange and high frequency response at high sensitivity, with crystal clear natural sound from the Polyimide diaphragm.

The driver’s small diameter allows front mounting, making it easy to install without detaching the driver from the WGP14-50X Horn.
Its design was developed to give custom doors a new solution for a shallow horn driver, its 2.0” voice coil allows it to push more power into it, increasing its output tremendously because of its low mass diaphragm.
The specially designed Polyimide diaphragm provides durability and additional damping for natural sound quality. This technology raises the bar for high frequency drivers by giving the driver wider usable bandwidth for smooth, dynamic output along with excellent efficiency.
The Polyimide diaphragms supersede titanium diaphragms, being able to play low frequencies without shattering and performing more accurately at high frequencies.

Recommended Amplifier configurations and crossover points:
2 Drivers – 1x MDX400.4 2 Ohm, 2 drivers in parallel on a bridged channel
4 Drivers – 1x MDX1200.2 at 2 Ohm, 4 drivers in parallel on 1 channel
( Other channel on the amplifier may be used for Tweeters )
8 Drivers – 1x MDX1200.2 at 2 Ohm, 4 drivers in parallel per channel
Recommended HPF using PRV Digital Signal Processor DSP when using up to 150 Watts RMS musical power ( without clipping )
- 1000 Hz at 12 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT12
- 900 Hz at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18
Recommended LPF is 20,000 – Fullrange but you may set it lower to blend in better depending on the other components in your system.

there are many differences, The PRV WG2000Py SLIM - has a slim horn, different diaphragm material ( this driver uses a Polyimide diaphragms supersede titanium diaphragms, being able to play low frequencies without shattering and performing more accurately at high frequencies. ) this Driver compared to the Timpano has a more advanced diaphragm material that allows to play lower frequency range.
The capacitor should be placed just like on the product pictures, on the positive terminal on each driver, with the recommended HPF at 1000 Hz 12db Per Octave Crossover
We do not recommend to use a bass block, you must do a electronic crossover - we do suggest to use a High Pass Filter of 1000Hz with 12db slope

Haven’t installed it yet but I absolutely love it
The WG2000PY is a great all around driver you can use on a 2 way system without tweeters. It has highs similar to a TI driver but it has great midrange vocals like a PH! Very natural, clean and smooth sound. Check out my YouTube video showing how it sounds and how it does up against the WG2200PH.
These horns hit hard and stay super clear, even when I crank the volume. Perfect fit in my door panels.
2 of these horns sound great with my 8MR600Xs. I wish I had a video to post here too, you can hear them from far away.
The horns are great. I just wish they came with a stronger coil factory coil was not enough, but they sound amazing.
Crystal clear mids! But I think thet factory filter is not enough, with a flat full range amp sounds like was passing some lows just watch out! Otherwise amazing!
