PRV Audio’s 8MB700FT-NDY Forte Series was specially tailored to give you more power handling and less distortion. The larger voice coil ensures high heat dissipation and the necessary Bl to deliver high sensitivity even on high power with the minimum distortion.

The lower Qts allows more precise mid bass. Superior fidelity is achieved through a perfect combination of a non-pressed cone with a smooth frequency response and a surround ring specially designed to allow high displacement without increasing the distortion.

Product Highlight- 8MB700FT-NDY

  • Nominal Impedance: 8 Ohms
  • Rated AES Power Handling (RMS): 350 Watts
  • Program Power: 700 Watts
  • Sensitivity (1W/1m): 98 dB
  • Voice Coil Diameter: 2.5″ (51 mm)

To get superior fidelity, the special composite cone is built with non-pressed paper for reduced break-up, delivering a smooth frequency response and a low moving mass, increasing the efficiency of the speaker.

The 8MB700FT-NDY is an extremely efficient 8″ mid bass from PRV Audio. This driver is perfect for mating to compression drivers due to its wide frequency bandwidth and its high 98 dB sensitivity rating, on 3 way system (with a suggested 95 Hz, 12 dB/octave high pass filter in place)!

Its powerful optimized neodymium motor is vented to provide excellent cooling.

Product Highlight- RK8MB700FT-NDY

The large 2.5″ voice coil allows for the high 350-watts power handling, and warrants the outstanding cooling system implemented into the motor.

High sensitivity rating of 98 dB 1W/1M which makes it capable of generating a lot of output!

Q Will it be safe to run 8 of these 8ohm version on a timpano 3000.1 amp?
Asked by Dorian Sherrod McCormick on October 17, 2020 5:37 pm

You can use the 3000w 1 ohm but I would recommend a 5000w 1 ohm with 8 of these speakers.

Q Can I run 2 of these off a 1200.4 amplifier? Would you recommend a bigger amp?
Asked by Brent Mishler on September 5, 2020 10:25 pm

If you are only using 2 speakers I would suggest the 4 ohm version. With the 4 ohm version you can put one on each side of the amplifier, bridged. If your amp is the 4 ohm version it will work perfect. If it is the 2 ohm version it will not give enough power to see the potential of the speaker.

Q How will these speakers perform in a sealed enclosure? Do they need a certain amount of airspace?
Asked by Greg V on April 2, 2020 11:52 pm

These speakers will perform just fine in a sealed enclosure. We do not have specific requirements for airspace for this speaker.

Q If I run 2 of these 8ohm 8MB700FT-NDY would wiring parallel perform better?
Asked by Francisco on February 25, 2020 8:55 pm

You should run them in parallel and put them on an amplifier that is capable of providing 1400w @ 4 ohms. The better option would be to use the 4 ohm version if you are only using two.

Q What ohm amp do I need to run 4 of them.. 2 in each bag.? all in parallel
Asked by Jermane L Gartrell on February 5, 2020 4:42 pm

If you run 4 of these together you will need a 2 ohm amplifier.
